DESCRIPTION:The Fred Douglass Community Development Corporation (FDCDC) is a non-profit organization working closely with the Jacksonville City Council\, the Chamber of Commerce\, the Economic Development Corporation\, and other community leaders\, on a multi-phase revitalization of its District 1. Phase 1 of this project involves major renovations to Lincoln Park\, located in District 1. \n\n \n\nTo assist in the completion of this first stage of the project\, the FDCDC is hosting a Founders Banquet honoring the founders of the Fred Douglass Alumni Association\, from which the FDCDC was formed. We are requesting your help to raise $70\,000 to assist in the completion of the first stage of the project. Sponsorship packages are available:  Diamond ($10\,000)\, Platinum ($5\,000)\, Gold ($2\,000)\, Silver ($1\,000)\, Bronze ($500). The banquet will be held Friday\, June 17\, 2022\, 7:30 PM   11:00 PM\, at The Legacy Entertainment Venue\, 782 County Road 1511\, Jacksonville\, TX. Your response by May 6\, 2022\, will be greatly appreciated. \n\n \n\nThe mission of FDCDC is to advance the social and economic well-being of low- and moderate-income individuals and families in and around Jacksonville. FDCDC strives to achieve our mission through comprehensive education and a community development strategy which includes programs and services designed to benefit children\, youth\, adults\, and senior citizens. The renovation of Lincoln Park adheres to our mission and will benefit people of all ages within the City of Jacksonville\, especially those in the Lincoln Park community. Once completed\, Jacksonville will have a park that is ADA compatible\, with a senior fitness area and educational facts\, attributes not offered by other local parks. \n\n \n\nThank you in advance for caring about the citizens of Jacksonville.
