SUMMARY:Robles Indiain Art Show & Sale
DESCRIPTION:When people ask about my early art work I remember watching my step dad sharpening my pencil to a fine point with his pocketknife. When I tried it\, it always broke off. When there was no paper to draw on my mother would get used calendars with blank backs for me to draw on. \n\nI was born in Cyril\, Oklahoma and was raised by my mother and a Comanche woman "Mary Placoddy. " When I was nine years old my family moved to Klamath Falls Oregon. I spent a lot of time with my school friends on the Klamath Indian Reservation and later breaking horses on the Stephenson Ranch near Klamath Falls. These are some of my best memories. \n\nI hope when people look at my art they see what I feel when I am going a painting or making a piece of art from a bone which my wife named "Arti-Facts". It is a good feeling when people look at my art and understand what I feel about the culture of the Native American People. \n\nI am Cherokee Apache- Mexican and my wife is Cherokee- Irish. We are member of the TSALAGIVI NYDAGI often referred to as "Texas Cherokee".
