JAAC Open Forum Meeting
OPEN FORUM MEETING
Come discuss the upcoming Jacksonville Art Walk that will be held on April 13, 2013 in downtown Jacksonville, Texas. The meeting is open to the public, but only members of the JAAC are to vote on the agenda.
Annual Membership:

Membership Benefits:
- Networking: Share ideas, information and experiences. By creating opportunities for artists to come together, the Jacksonville Area Arts Council helps to create those important ties.
- Awareness: As a member you may choose to have a link on the Jacksonville Area Arts Council website, as well as contact information and a description of your work.
- Education: Through informal and formal education opportunities, the Jacksonville Area Arts Council will work to provide assistance in the forms of listing of available classes, and creating opportunities for discussion groups on art related topics, and eventually workshops for members about the business of the arts.
- Resources: By pooling information about art resources such as grants, agencies and its events, the Jacksonville Area Arts Council will be able to assist members in finding resources to help them grow as artists.
Jacksonville Area Arts Council
Mission Statement:
- To support, promote and encourage all of the arts including, but not limited to, visual performing, musical , literary, environmental, and other allied arts in the community.
- Stimulate and raise public interest, support, appreciation, and quality of all arts and arts programs available to the public in the Jacksonville area.
Our Objectives & Purpose:
- To promote local exhibitions, performances, and productions of artistic and cultural value.
- Make the arts more accessible to all persons in Cherokee County.
- Encourage diverse, multi-cultural arts participants and audiences.
- Support the arts by serving as a liaison between community, business, organizational, educational and governmental entities to develop and implement art-related purposes in Cherokee County.
- Be a resource for leadership, coordination, funding, and education for area arts and cultural organizations.
