Empty Bowl
Back by popular demand ... The Empty Bowl ?? What is the Empty Bowl, you ask?
The Empty Bowl is a grassroots movement and fundraiser by people worldwide to raise money for food-related charities to care for and feed the hungry in their communities. The Empty Bowl supports food-related charitable organizations around the world, locally H.O.P.E., and has raised millions of dollars globally to help end hunger.
We have 8-10 competitors vying for the top spot and bragging rights of winning the best table and best soup. Each competitor makes 2 different types of soup, possibly 20 to choose from, and ticket holders sample each. After sampling, vote on the best soup, and you will get a large bowl of your favorite soup. Sylvia Mae's Soul Food will make her famous cornbread to accompany your soup of choice. We will also have dessert and refreshments.
While you're sampling and deciding which is your favorite soup, we will have live music and crown the competitor with the best table decorations.
Afterward, we will have a dessert auction of wonderful homemade desserts.
H.O.P.E.'s Board thought it best to put the event on hold during the height of the pandemic. But we are BACK!!
Tickets: $20 per person or $40 MAX (feed the whole family for less than $50) for a family and will go on sale October 1st. You can purchase tickets online https://go.rallyup.com/emptybowl through a HOPE Board Member, or at HOPE.
