Harsh Adhyaru, MD, is a board-certified obstetrician and gynecologist at UT Health East Texas Physicians in Jacksonville. “I believe in providing comprehensive, high-quality, compassionate and personalized care through practice of current standard of care and evidence-based medicine. I encourage shared decision making with patients by discussing available treatment options, and help patients enjoy a better quality of life.”

Although Dr. Adhyaru sees women from various backgrounds, he is especially interested in high-risk pregnancy care and minimally invasive and laparoscopic gynecologic surgeries that help women recover faster. “I am also a big proponent of avoiding unnecessary interventions, as well as safely avoiding primary cesarean section (C-section) and decreasing overall C-section rates.”

At Gujarat University in Ahmedabad, Gujarat, India, Dr. Adhyaru earned his bachelor of medicine and bachelor of surgery degree from BJ Medical College, and his master of surgery degree in obstetrics and gynecology from Smt. NHL Municipal Medical College. In addition, he completed his Ob/Gyn residency at St. Joseph’s Regional Medical Center in Paterson, New Jersey.

He is fluent in English, Gujarati and Hindi. Dr. Adhyaru’s personal interests include spending time outdoors by visiting new places and hiking. He also enjoys spending quality time with his wife and daughter.
